Theairra Taylor
Retired professional basketball player and University of Iowa alumna, with Master's degree in Education and a Bachelor's degree in Sport Studies, African American Studies, and Human Relations. Additionally, certified Flow State Practitioner with breath-work experience.
"Throughout my sports career, I encountered significant physical challenges, including three ACL tears, seven meniscus tears, and numerous other injuries while competing at a high level of basketball. These setbacks compelled me to reassess the connection between mind, body, and spirit, leading me to discover that overcoming such obstacles involved removing mental barriers through meditative practices and positive self-talk. As I regained my personal flow, I realized I could help other athletes navigate their own challenges and blocks. Combining mental frameworks with spiritual practices"
Kasey Philyaw
PhD in Sport & Exercise Psychology, is a Professor of Psychology, a retired athlete with overseas experience, a researcher, and mental performance coach. “I have a passion for everything sport and psychology. I've competed and trained at the highest levels on the court, in the lab and in the classroom. My passion for the game and for studying psychology have coalesced in my current work, where I bring a listening and understanding ear to athletes, help them out of slumps, and navigate mental barriers. Most importantly, I guide athletes towards learning and consistently maintaining their most confident and optimal selves"
